SchoolPool
It's the smart way to get to school!
What is SchoolPool?
SchoolPool is a FREE service that brings together students and their
families who wish to form a carpool to and from school.
Joining SchoolPool is simple for students and parents. Here is how it works.
Parents provide information such as name, address,
nearest intersection and phone number by filling out a SchoolPool
registration
form
.
Commute Solutions then matches up parents of children who make the best potential SchoolPool partners based on their home and school locations.
Parents receive a customized matchlist of other famlies who live nearby and would make the most suitable SchoolPool partners.
Interested SchoolPoolers then work out convenient transportation arrangements and screen individuals to their satisfaction. Parents then trade driving neighborhood kids to school.
What are the benefits of carpooling?
Enhances student safety by reducing congestion before and after school.
Saves time and money by reducing the number of days you
have to drive your child (or children) to school.
Offers a chance to meet new neighborhood friends.
Reduces air pollution by decreasing the number of cars
on the road.
What is my commitment if I carpool?
It is minimal. If you decide to end your arrangment, call the parents
in your carpool. Give group members enough notice to make other arrangments if
needed.
What about confidentiality?
We guarantee your personal information always remains confidential. Matchlists are available only to parents registered in the SchoolPool Program.
What if our carpool is not working out?
Choose other parents from your matchlist. You can screen them
according to your preference and to your personal satisfaction.
