Ca$h for Carpools program:

Eligibility: 

To be eligible for Ca$h for Carpools, you must:
• Be a NEW member of a carpool 
• Currently be driving alone to work or college
• Travel, to, from, or within Santa Cruz County
• Carpool to work or school 12 round trips (or 24 trip legs) within 60 days
• Record your daily commute trips in the online commute calendar and submit gas receipts. Each commute leg, the trip to work or school and the return trip home, is recorded separately.
• Agree to complete a follow-up survey 
• Be at least 18 years of age
• If driving, use a vehicle for this carpool that is insured to the extent required by California law and have a valid drivers license 
• NOT be a previous incentive recipient or prize winner in this Ca$h for Carpools program.

Program Rules:

• Each applicant/new carpooler will be reimbursed with a $25 gas gift card after demonstrating that they have carpooled 12 round trips to work or school by logging their commute trips on the commute calendar and submitting gas receipts for the same period.
• Limited to one incentive per new carpooler.
• Incentive recipients will also be entered into a prize drawing for a $600 gas card. Each carpool trip counts as an entry into the prize drawing. 
• Employers, colleges or carpool partners may be contacted to verify application data.
• Falsifying any information on this application will disqualify you from all Commute Solutions sponsored programs.
• Gift cards are not for sale and intended for the recipient only. Reselling of these cards will disqualify you from all Commute Solutions sponsored programs.
• Funding for this program is limited. Gift cards and drawing prizes are available while supplies last.
• Commute Solutions reserves the right to make any changes to the program and eligibility requirements without prior notification. Please visit http://commutesolutions.org/ for current program information.
• Program participants must provide a valid email address to receive a follow up survey and updates about transportation benefits and options.
• All information is required for processing. 
• Each carpool member must register separately for the Ca$h for Carpools program.

Registration Agreement:

I have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions of the Ca$h for Carpools Program as indicated above. By selecting “I agree” and clicking below to proceed, I hereby certify that the information I submitted in this application is true and correct. I further certify that I currently meet all of the eligibility requirements included in the Program's "Terms and Conditions"; and furthermore, that I will notify Commute Solutions/the RTC if my eligibility changes during the course of my participation in the Program.

Release and Liability Waiver:

The Ca$h for Carpools Program is administered by Commute Solutions, a service of the Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) and funded through a grant from the Monterey Bay Unified Air Pollution Control District (MBUAPCD). Commute Solutions encourages commuters to try sustainable forms of transportation such as carpools, vanpools and transit. I recognize that my participation in the Ca$h for Carpools Program is strictly voluntary and that such participation is not within the course and scope of my employment or college education. As a Ca$h for Carpools Participant, I shall indemnify, defend and hold harmless the RTC and/or the MBUAPCD and their respective officers, directors, agents, contractors, and employees against any and all suits, claims or actions arising out of any injury to persons or property that may occur, or that may be alleged to have occurred, in the course of their participation in this Ca$h for Carpools Program caused by an act or omission of the indemnifying Participant.

Commute Solutions reserves the right at its sole discretion to determine eligibility of any Participant, and may change, modify or discontinue the Ca$h for Carpools Program without notice, at any time and for any reason including but not limited to a loss of, or change in, funding. Reimbursements will be awarded to all Participants that meet the eligibility requirements on a first-come, first-served basis until the funds are exhausted. Commute Solutions reserves the right to make the final determination of eligibility on a case-by case basis. Any discrepancies in information gathered during verification inquiries may disqualify the Participant. The terms of this release are binding on my heirs, executors, administrators, and for all of my family members as well as myself.
