Ca$h for Carpools

What is Ca$h for Carpools?

For a limited time, commuters who currently drive alone to

work or college can earn $25 each by forming a new carpool!

You’ll benefit by:

How does it work?

  1. Join the Ca$h for Carpools Program sponsored by Commute Solutions. Anyone who switches from driving alone to carpooling is eligible! To participate, each carpooler must sign up individually.
  2. Once you are registered, you will receive an email with instructions for how to report your weekly carpool trips and submit your gas receipts to qualify for the incentive. Keep your gas receipts every time you fill up your tank.
  3. Report your daily commute trips for an entire calendar month and submit gas receipts to receive your free gas cards. It takes only 12 round trips to qualify.
  4. Successful participants will also be entered into a drawing for a year's worth of fuel! Each round trip by carpool that you report is an additional entry into the prize drawing and increases your chances to win.

How many times do I need to carpool to get Ca$h for Carpools?

It takes twelve round trips to work or school, or twenty-four trip legs if you carpool one-way, to get the $25 gas card. Each leg of your commute (the trip to work or the trip home) is recorded seperately. Don't stop at 12 trips! Each recorded carpool round trip is an entry to the prize drawing.

How do I find other people to carpool with?

Use our free instant online ridematching service to get a list of commuters who want to share a ride and who share your schedule at 511.org or call 429-POOL. You can also ask your friends, family, neighbors, or co-workers to carpool.
